History
Curriculum Aims
Wisdom - We want our children to have a chronologically secure knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history, establishing clear narratives within and across the periods they study.
Independence - Children are participants in designing their own pathways to successful outcomes. We want to enable our children to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, debate and develop perspective and judgements.
Creativity - to understand the varying methods of historical enquiry and to find unique connections and interpretations to historical concepts.
Kindness - we want our children to understand the complexity of people's lives, the diversity of society and relationships between different groups as well as their own identify and the challenges of their time.
Our bespoke curriculum was developed using resources and materials from a range of sources, including the Historical Association and Keystage History.
