Welcome to Newick Church of England Primary School
Wisdom, Independence, Creativity, Kindness
At Newick, we are determined that all of our children fulfil their true potential. We believe that each child deserves to have their individual needs met. As a Church school our Christian vision and values are integral to all that we do and our links with the local church and community are of huge importance to us.
Teaching our pupils the four WICK values enables them to carry the flame of love and shine bright in all they do.
‘Be courageous, be strong;
Do everything in love.’
1 Corinthians, 16.
Our four key values, that underpin everything that we do at Newick, are: wisdom, independence, creativity and kindness.
Children achieve well at Newick because of our incredible staff and aspirational curriculum. Our children are encouraged to take risks and develop their confidence. We are a rural school located in beautiful surroundings and the children become outdoor experts through a regular forest school programme. We offer children 'Life in all its fullness' through our incredible curriculum and extended provision.
We strive to create a stimulating and inspiring learning culture and we celebrate all of our children’s achievements in a vibrant, exciting learning environment.
Our curriculum is carefully designed so that children increase their knowledge and understanding of concepts, events, people and places. Reading, speaking and listening skills are at the heart of everything we do as we understand the critical links between those skills and later achievement.
We are at the heart of the Newick community; this is a school where we care for one another, our families support each other and our children flourish.
